The Pond – Nearly There

No work yesterday as I had to self-medicate my dose of Man Flu with alcohol – Zeus Bar in Ashby-de-la-Zouch is not the place to go for beer – be warned. We had gone for a friends birthday bash.

This morning I was back at it and finished profiling the edges and putting the rocks in. This afternoon was spent planting the South Marsh with plants including Marsh Marigold, Water Avons and Ragged Robin. The marginals will go in later when I can raise the baskets off the shelf I dug – too low really.

A Water Lily had also been planted but it is not at it’s full depth yet – needs a bit more growing. The ground at the back of the pond has also been given a scatter of wildflower seed.
