Coal Not Dole

Until today one glaring miss from the Soar Valley Yearlist was Coal Tit. After a crap vismig session, no birds whatsoever; Dave and I toured the Valley. Not much to write about so we headed off to Cossington Churchyard. We soon had a calling bird but finding it was a nightmare. It didn’t seem to have joined the roving Tit flock and as we were about to give up for today, Dave picked it up in a Hawthorn. It then flew towards the houses and was soon back carrying food. Obviously visiting feeders. Nice one, number 145… 150 is definitely a possibility.

Never Forget!
