Lincolnshire Poacher

This morning I failed to find Green-winged Orchid at Cribbs Meadow so decided to head east to Frampton Marsh, despite the sun it was bloody windy so any chance of seeing let alone photographing any Corn Bunting were nil. A nice Garganey showed well till an aggressive Coot flushed it and the female Shoveler it was trying to cuckold from the male.

Garganey

Plenty of wader action but the pick of the bunch were three superb male Ruff almost in full breeding plumage.
