After breakfast yesterday we had decided to do a few more churches and then a bit of birding before heading home. We started next door to The Griffin in Attleborough. St Mary’s is a bit of a mixed bag with elements of the Norman church remaining. It does contain some restored murals and a gorgeous 15th Century Rood Screen though.
Our next stop was Wymondham Abbey, the two bell towers are interesting and were the result of a dispute between the Monks and the Townspeople!
