Wax On, Wax Off

After doing my Duck count this morning – the highlight being a Shelduck – I headed off to Coalville to look for the Waxwing flock that’s been visiting the Co-op car park. After a short wait one flew in so I sat tight and waited for the rest… they didn’t show. I had to be content with this beauty that never really fully showed itself for the camera before it flew off.

After a lot more, unsuccessful, waiting around I decided to head back to Beacon Hill Country Park fora look at the feeding station. Plenty of Tits coming in to the feeders with at least four Marsh Tit sneezing around and this very obliging Nuthatch. Thanks to the Llama, I can now shoot and process in RAW which allowed me to recover some of the detail n these shots.
