A couple of photoshop edits of Edinburgh Castle. I had intended to use the photo to do a HDR image from a single RAW file. Somehow though I slipped up and didn’t set the quality to RAW in the camera. Being taken against the sun the sky was featureless and the shadows a bit dark. I dodged and burned the image a bit to make the sky a little more punchy and lighten the castle rock a little. Finally I added a border in Snapseed on my iPad.
The first is an oil painting conversion.
The second is a watercolour conversion.
It shows what can be done to recover something from even the most uninspiring of photos.
