Woodcock In Print

Or a tale of two (one) photographs.

Over the past few weeks I had been asked by artist Jonathon Pointer if he could use a Woodcock image of mine for a piece. As always if someone asks and I get credit I’m happy to oblige. This is the shot he wanted to do a wing-stretch pose.

It was taken back in January 2010 at Watermead Country Park.

Today I was asked if I could let him have a copy of the original image as he’s been asked to contribute to a book on painting wildlife… here is the original – it shows just how difficult it was getting any images of the Woodcock that day.
