I had a facebook message this week from Steve Waite the Devon County Recorder asking for any further shots of the Rutland Water White-rumped Sandpiper. I hadn’t but I directed Steve to the LROS website and Matthew Berriman’s Flickr pages.

It turns out that our White-rumped Sandpiper pitched up on the Axe Estuary about 200 miles SW the day after it vanished from Rutland. Isn’t digital photography brilliant!
